Asus Eee PC

It is about a new type of portable PC ultra designed and marketed by Asus.

Characteristics

They measure 225 × 165 × 21~35 mm, weigh a little less Kilo (920 grams). They have a screen of 7 inches (17,8 cm), of a memory flash holding place of hard drive, varying from 2 to 8 Go, of a reader of Memory card MMC/SD/ms. Thanks to a Microprocessor low consumption of the manufacturer Intel (model Celeron Mr. ULV 353 given rhythm with 900MHz with masks L1 of 64 KB and L2 512 KB for a TDP of 5W) and with a battery of a capacity of 4.400 or 5.200 mAh (according to the model), their autonomy should reach respectively approximately 2:45 and 3:30.

Using the operating system GNU/Linux, provided with the software continuation OpenOffice, of the navigator Firefox, and system of wireless connectivity Wi-Fi, they are intended by their originator for office automation and surfing on Internet.

One of the models will arrive on the French market towards mid-December the 2007, for a price of 299 €.
