Astronomy of position

The Astronomie of position is the study of the positions of the celestial objects. It is more the hurdy-gurdy connects astronomy and dates from the Antiquité. The observations of the celestial objects are important within the framework of the Religion and astronomy, but also for the Chronométrage. The science which measures the positions of the celestial objects in the sky is called the Astrométrie.

The naked human naked eye is able to detect not less than 6000 star S, in which about half is in lower part of the horizon constantly. In the catalogs of modern stars, the celestial Sphère in divided into 88 Constellation S. Each star belongs to a constellation. The constellations are useful for the Navigation. If one saw saw in the northern Hemisphere, one can finds the Northern by locating pole star, α Ursae Minoris. This star always indicates the direction of north with a good precision.

Phenomena in astronomy of position

  • the Planet S which are in conjunction S form a line which passes through the center of the Solar system,
  • the ecliptic is it plane which generally contains the Orbite of a planet in reference to the Ground,
  • the elongation refers to the angle formed by a planet, which respects the center of the system and the point of view,
  • the higher planets have a obrite broader than that of the Earth whereas the lower planets (Mercure, Venus), revolve around the Sun inside Terrestrial orbit,
  • a transit appears when a lower planet passes through the point of conjunction.
