Astral Media

Astral Media is one of the Canadian companies (mainly activates with the Quebec) most important in the field of the communications. Founded in 1961, it is owner of 3 networks of radio (Radio Energy, Rock'n'roll-Relaxation, Boom FM - 21 stations), shareholder of control of 8 specialized networks of Télévision (VRAK.TV, Canal D, Canal Life, MusiquePlus, MusiMax, Séries+, Historia, Ztélé), of the single television network paying in Quebec (Super Screen) and of the most important network of Télévision to the chart (Indigo Canal). The company is also active with the Canada where it is owner of radio stations (in the provinces of the Atlantic), of television networks specialized, two television networks paying and the most important television service to the chart. Astral Media is also present in the field of external posting (billboards).

April 12th, 2007, the direction of Astral Media indicated the purchase of Standard Broadcasting to the cost of 1,08 billion. Standard Radio has 51 stations in Ontario, a Colombia-British, in Manitoba and in Alberta, but also in Quebec, where it exploits the stations montréalaises English language CHOM, MIX 96 and CJAD. It is behind marks known as EZ Rock and The Bear.
