Astor Places
The Astor Place is a block south of Manhattan, with New York which is former to the introduction of the Plan hippodamien of the island. He was baptized in the memory of John Jacob Astor, arrived at New York in 1783 and which became in the space of a few years the richest man of the country. He died at the seventy-five years age in 1848, and gave his name to the street a few years afterwards.
