Astérix and Obélix against César

Astérix and Obélix against César is a film free - italo - German, realized by Claude Zidi, left on the screens in 1999. It is, as its title indicates it, a live adaptation in of the cartoon Astérix the Gallic .

Synopsis

“We are into 50 before Jesus-Christ; all Gaulle is occupied by the Romans… All? Not! Because a populated Gaulois village irreducible resists still and always the invader. And the life is not easy for the garrisons of Roman legionaries of the fortified camps from Babaorum, Aquarium, Laudanum and Petibonum…”

And like always, César has troubles with our Gallic, say rather than a certain Refuse hid the existence of this small village to him which resists still and always to the Romans. César wants to thus destroy this village and besieges it. Just at the time when the druid Panoramix must go to the forest of Carnutes where place has annually the great appointment of the druids which will elect that which invented the best potion. A pact was created with the Romans, obliging the latter to leave quiet the druids in their forest but Detritus, is not to him of this opinion because " The promises of César engage only César". It thus captures the druid during the ceremony to have the secrecy of the magic potion. Astérix and Obélix must thus assemble an operation to find it, Obélix will be made enlist in the Roman army as a " Obélus" with Astérix as prisoner of war…
