Upset, Cléopâtre charges its architect Numérobis with building a palate for César in three months. For Numérobis, its only chance to come at the end of this task in spite of the obstruction from the Romans is to ask for the assistance of his/her old friend Panoramix. The druid thus leaves for Egypt to lend to him hand-strong, accompanied by Astérix and Obélix.

References

He is refers in this album to the first Grève of the history, this one having taken place in Egypt in year 29 of the reign of Ramsès III (that is to say well before Astérix), with Deir el-Médineh. The workmen in charge of the decoration of the monuments of the Vallée of the Kings protested against the delay of supply.
