Association of the students of Polytechnic

The association of the students of Polytechnic represents the students of the baccalaureat registered with the Polytechnic school of Montreal.

History

The Association of the students of Polytechnic represents the 3200 full-time students with the Baccalaureat. That made of it the most important association of genious students in Quebec and the third in Canada. The AEP is also recognized for the exceptional width of its life coed, for its force of negotiation and the diversity and the importance of its services.

Founded in 1963, the AEP has since largely advanced giving the association of today. Now, Association has the exclusiveness in the food services and manages the sale of cold drink. The AEP is also a force with external being member of the FEUQ (university Fédération coed of Quebec), of the CRÉIQ (Confederation for the radiation of the students in engineering of Quebec) and of the FCEEG (Canadian Federation of the coeds and students in genious). Moreover, the AEP coordinates 13 student committees with education representing the students of each program of Polytechnic, supporting their studies and being in the middle of the feeling of membership of the geniuses. Finally, the dynamism of the AEP is carried by its 16 clubs and committees with the intern who organize partys, radio coed, 5@7, spectacles and a panoply of other activities enriching the life coed by Polytechnic.

“The Board of directors is the authority of Association. It has jurisdiction on all the operations of the latter and of it is responsible. It must conform to the decisions taken by the General meeting. It has the capacity to vote for the payments and resolutions relating to the good performance of Association, in particular as for the members, the behavior of the assemblies and with the activities of any organization which has relations with the members of Association, as for any legal document posed by Association, as for the discipline of the members in what milked with Association. It completely controls all the goods and privileges of Association; it approves, modifies or rejects any budget or spends. ”

The Board of directors of the AEP is composed of the 7 members of the executive as well as 16 advisers elected independently for a year. CA with the responsibility to take care of the good performance of Association. If the task of the executive is to manage the current files, CA with the responsibility of make the administration with large scales, to see with the establishment of guiding lines, to conceive the future orientations of Association. It is also the Board of directors which ratifies all the budgetary requests and the positions of Association. In short, the 23 administrators of CA and their President of assembly sponsor all the files of the AEP.

To be an administrator is to express the opinion, the desires, the interests, the vexations and the exaltations of the students of the first cycle of Polytechnic. It is also to echo the students of the decisions taken as well as adopted measures. Thus, the Board of directors largely invites you to remain informed, to consult the site of the AEP and to attend the meetings of the Council.
