Association of the parents and future gay parents and lesbians

Created in 1986, the Association of the parents and future gay parents and lesbians (APGL) address themselves to the homosexual people concerned by the fact of being relative S (Homoparentalité), that it is in fact (case of people having had children during a preceding hétérosexuelle life ) or by desire of children. It also militates against the discriminations against the merry parents and lesbians. The APGL is a homosexual association mixed.

Objectives of association

Association is given like objectives:

the defense of all the forms of parentality;
the inscription of the homoparentality in legal and social reality;
the fight against discriminations whose the homosexual couples are the object, that it is:

in the determination of their rights with respect to their children in the event of divorce;
in the treatment of their candidature for the adoption as single people;

obtaining the equal rights, in particular those concerning:

adoption by an homosexual couple;
adoption by the spouse (second relative) when the child has only one recognized relative;
artificial insemination for the single people or the couples of lesbians;
the reopening of the debate on the maternity of substitution.

The APGL gathers 1600 adhérents.15 regional antennas fight with the daily newspaper so that the 200.000 children raised in France by 100.000 families made up of gays or lesbians see themselves registered in the legal and social reality of our country.
