Association of the areas of France

The Association of the areas of France (ARF) was created in December 1998 to meet the need for close dialog felt by the presidents of the district councils and their services. They wished to share the experiments lived in the areas with the transfer of competences decided by the laws of decentralization.

Missions

ARF is a force of proposal for the whole of the area S near the government, of the Parliament and large the European Institutions.

It makes known with the government the position of the presidents of district council on the public policies and the texts which relate to the Compétence S and the activities of the area S. It maintains the close relationships with the members of Parliament so that the opinion of the areas is taken into account in legislative work.

It represents the areas and promotes their actions near the European Institutions: European commission, the European Parliament, Committee of the areas…

Commission TIC

There exists a commission TIC of the ARF (Site of the commission TIC of the ARF). In 2007, it is animated by Christian Paul, appointed Nievre.
