The association for the right on the initiative economic (Adie, decides adi ) is a French association of which the goal is to help of the people excluded from the traditional banking system to create their own company, thanks to the Microcrédit. Adie is present on all the French territory.

History

Adie was created in 1989 by Maria Nowak, which is the current president. In 2007, Adie had granted since its creation more than 42.600 microcrédits allowing the creation of 36.400 companies and 43.700 employment (figures obtained on the institutional site of association).

Operation

Adie can be contacted by people with the Chômage or RMI, generally excluded from the traditional banking system, i.e. to which the banks do not wish to grant loans or to even open an account. That can be the consequence of a momentary difficulty (prohibited banking,…) or, more often, of a project of a too weak amount.

The future creator of Entreprise (or Microprojet) then meets an adviser, paid of Adie, which assembles a file of loan. This file is then examined in committee of credit which grants or not the requested funds. The examination relates mainly on the motivations of the person and its capacity to being autonomous. The committee of credit can request the assistance of voluntary of the association which will have the role of accompanying the company founder and help it to surmount the obstacles which mark out the creation of companies (inscription, taxes, etc)

Thanks to its integration in local fabric, Adie is partner of a great number of organizations (chambers of commerce, advisers of management,…). Thus, the recipients of the loans Adie (company founders) are very often eligible at the bottoms of the General advices and the company founders still profit during a year from the social security benefits (RMI or allowances unemployments).
