Assem Araji
Assem Araji (born in Bekaa in 1953) is a Lebanese politician.
Cardiologist of reputation at the American University of Beirut, it is elected in 2005, is appointed sunnite of Zahlé, on the list of alliance between the popular Block of Elias Skaff and the Free patriotic current of the general Michel Aoun.
Member of the Block of the reform and the change, it took in December 2006 some distances with the parliamentary opposition, refusing his call with the demonstration and the sit-in the streets of Beirut to reverse the government of Fouad Siniora.
