AssaultCube
AssaultCube is a Jeu of subjective shooting functioning on several operating systems in particular GNU/Linux, Solaris, BSD, Windows or Mac OS. It is a conversion of Cube whose modes and textures evoke an environment of guerilla.
The development with begun in July 2004. After a pause, the development team resumed work in November 2006 under the impulse of makkE, which carried out maps. The exit took place in January 2007 and was playable on ten waiters approximately.
The source code of the engine of play is distributed under the free License " ZLIB license".
Gameplay
If one measures the speed of walk of players, AssaultCube is slower than Quake and Cube but faster than Counter-Strike. The play is directed towards the combat by team. There are two teams which the player can join: the Cubers Releases Army (terrorist) and the Rabid Viper Special Forces (commandos anti-terrorists).AssaultCube has an editor of chart integrated.
One of its characteristics, inherited Cube is to make it possible to modify the charts of play in the course of play, as well as a multijouor (on the waiters allowing it) as as a monojouor. This can give places has new parts hitherto.
