Asmahan
Asmahan (rear RTL أسمهان), of its true name Amal El Atrach (born in 1918 with the Lebanon and deceased in 1944) is a Chanteuse and Syrian Actrice . She is the sister of Farid El Atrache.
Biography
In 1924, it loses his/her father (the prince Druze Fahd El Atrach) what will lead its family has to emigrate in Egypt. His/her mother, the princess and incidentally musician Combined, inculcates in her children the virtues of the music.With the image of his/her Farid brother, Asmahan quickly becomes a wonder. Later, whereas the career of Farid is in full rise, the producer/type-setter Mohammad El Qasabji considers the case of Amal, and it is the type-setter Daoud Hosni who it affuble of the name of scene of Asmahan (" sublimates it " , in Arab).
Asmahan is made famous thanks to its participations in many cinematographic musical comedies such as Intisar El-Shabab and Gharam Wa Intiqam (from which the tube Layali El Ounsi Fi Vienna is drawn).
But what makes the characteristic of Asmahan, it is its song melancholic person and inspired by the musics European as on disconcerting the Ya Touyour (compound by Mohammad El Qasabji) or moving it Layta Lil Barraq , which will fascinate the Arab public, however not very sensitive to the Western music, especially at the time. She dies in an car accident in 1944. In spite of its too short career, Asmahan will have marked the Arab song by its its poetry and its passion for the theatrical melancholy.
