Askar Akaiev
Askar (Akaievitch) Akaiev , born the November 10th 1944 with Kyzyl-Bairak (Soviet socialist Republic of Kirghizie), is the president Kyrgyzstan of her independence, the August 31st 1991, with the Révolution of the tulips which reverses it the March 24th 2005.
Akaiev is initially, for the Soviet period a Mathématicien little implied in the political questions. But during the collapse of the the USSR the October 27th 1990, it is made elect president of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet socialist Republic of Kirghizie. Akaiev is re-elected, with this time the title of president of the new independent State, in 1991 and renewed in its functions by free polls relatively for the area in 1995 and 2000.
Initially seen as the most democratic president of the new countries of Central Asia, Akaiev hardens little by little the nature of his capacity. This change is the external consequences of factors (attempts at destabilization of the Ouzbékistan, consequences of the civil war tadjike and fights against the sanctuaries of the islamist Terrorisme in the mountainous regions) and interns (taste of the capacity and Népotisme). End 2002, in front of demonstrations requiring its resignation, it promises not to seek to renew its mandate in progress which is completed in October 2005. Akaiev obtains Parliament in 2003 an immunity with life against any legal proceeding.
March 24th, 2005, after two weeks of demonstrations against the results of the legislative elections from February-March, the president is driven out capacity by a crowd of demonstrators having taken by storm the seat of the government with Bichkek. Akaiev then leaves the country towards the close Kazakhstan, initially, then towards the Russia after the agreement given by the president Vladimir Poutine. He resigns of his president's functions the April 3rd 2005.
Akaiev is married in Mayram Akaiev with which it has two wire and two girls. His/her son Aydar Akaiev and his daughter Bermet Akaieva are both elected officials appointed during the disputed elections of spring 2005. However, Bermet is déchue of its seat the May 16th 2005.
