Asiatech was a dispensary of driving development founded by Hideo Morita in 2001 to ensure the development and the maintenance of the old engines of Formule 1 Peugeot A20 (which propelled the Prost in 2000). After suspension of line of business French in championship of world (for lack of results due to the fact that a20 block was not famous for its reliability and suffered from problems of cracking from the blocks and the cylinder head), Asiatech motorizes the stable Arrows then Minardi. Asiatech took the departure of 33 GP in 2 seasons of F1 but they made it possible to register only one thin total of 3 points. The best result of these engines is one 5th place with the GP of Australia 2002 (Mark Webber on Minardi PS02) and the best place on the grid is one 13th position Jos Verstappen with the GP of Canada 2001 on Arrows A22. The company, of results and means to continue the development of an engine created several years before and not being able more to compete with competition, left at the end of F1 2002 before ceasing any activity.
