They deal with L Asian Dub Foundation Education (ADFED) with London of which the goal is to make it possible all to produce music free thanks to training courses of ten month. A branch with Amsterdam was assembled by a former student.

Biography

The group is formed in 1993 following the diffusion of documentary the Identical Beat, a film made to the Farringdon Community Music House with London, a place where workshops were designed to teach with the children of Asian origin the bases of technologies of the music. The persons in charge of these workshops, Aniruddha Das, John Pandit so known like DJ and one of their student, Deeder Zaman 14 years a Bengali rappor form a Sound system which they call Asian Dub Foundation . Later, the workshops themselves will be renamed Asian Dub Foundation Education .

Each one adopts a pseudonym - the bass player/Das inputter becomes Dr. Das, Pandit becomes Pandit G, and Zaman becomes Master D - and they evolve/move gradually in a group engaged by incorporating the initiator of the Higher Intelligence Agency the guitarist Steve Chandra Savale, an interpreter known to grant his instrument to the manner of a sitar, using the Distorsion to the maximum and playing using a knife, which is worth to him the nickname of Chandrasonic.

Emerging in an anti-Asian climate of violence of the United Kingdom, their first demonstrations enable them to obtain a contract with Nation Records, and they leave their first EP Conscious in 1994. They make some representations in France which function better than in their country, because in these years with the the United Kingdom only the Trip hop is in vogue.

Their influences go from the punk to the ambient music of the folksongs Bengali. Asian Dub Foundation quickly gains a reputation not only among the Clubber S but also among the movements against racism, which applaud the vocal services of the group and their political standpoint.

After having gained a live reputation as interpreters, the group - which now included the dancer Bubble-E and a second DJ Sun-J - gains the general acclamation in 1995 for their individual Rebel Warrior .

Deeder Zaman leaves the group after a last concert the New Year's Day day before 2000. In the group since the fourteen years age, he wanted to have a cut of the music, particularly deepened tourism, and to explore other possibilities of the life. He continues to work with Grassroots in the Civic right and with organizations antiracists.

Following the departure of Deeder, MC Spex (MC), Aktarvata (DJ Drum and low ) and Lord (MC) of the group The Invasian and which took part already in the Asian Dub Foundation Sound System , are accommodated within the Asian Dub . Their first real participation takes place for the title Enemy off the enemy .

In 2002 Deeder, with Trevor Shrimp (known as Passion), form Rebel Uprising. Passion was the beater of African Head Charge (UNO Sound) and certain international groups with reggae like The Mighty Diamonds, Ricky Tuffy, Michael Prophet and others. The impressive vocals of Deeder brought a single voice to Rebel Uprising. The bass player Refusals Rootical (of Irration Steppas and Kitarchi) joined Rebel Uprising some time later. Rebel Uprising is a particular mixture of Drum and low, singjaying, roots, Jungle happy and of Rap.

About May 2001 Chandrasonic with the idea to project the Hatred a film of Mathieu Kassovitz, because it becomes of topicality to the the United Kingdom; there are riots in the north of the country; the British national party (fascistic party), organized racist attacks; and the police force badgers the young people of Asian origin in particular in the districts HLM. This project concretizes in 2002 by services live which receive very warm welcome, including on behalf of the French scenario writer, and it is even possible that it is diffused on support DVD.

End 2002 the group still increases and counts in its rows Rocky Singh, a beater and Pritpal Rajput (known as Cyber) a player of Dhol and Tablâ, the first being a popular musical instrument Indian, the other an instrument of the Indian classical music.

Their last album Tank left the February 28th 2005, the vocals are made by Ghetto Priest, Lord and Spex. Ghetto Priest also makes some vocals for the group of Deeder, Rebel Uprising.

They are setting up a live service around the film the Battle of Algiers , film which gained in popularity after the France recognized the use of the Torture during the wave of terrorism which took place with Algiers towards 1957, and some see there even a parallel with the recent events in Iraq.

Asian Dub Foundation also work with an opera punk dub/, Gaddafi: With Myth Living room, in connection with the Libyan leader Muammar Al-Qaddafi, and whose first will take place in London Coliseum on September 7th, 2006.

Dr. Das announced in May 2006 that it left Asian Dub Foundation, to take again teaching and to produce his own music. The new bass player is Martin Savale, alias Babu Storms, which plays already of low in the Swami group (at the side of Rocky Singh).

In 2007, they leave new Best off entitled " Time Freeze 1995/2007". This album contains a new track interpreted by Deeder Zaman, singer original of the group.
