Ashy Astrild

The ashy Astrild or Bec of coral ( Estrilda troglodytes ) is a Passereau of small size belonging to the family of the Passeridae, in the past Estrildidae.

Description

Ashy Astrild is a bird of small size (approximately 9 cm), with the compact body and the fine tail. It is equipped with a strong nozzle of red color coral. A red line leaves the nozzle, passes on the eye-level and finishes in the auricular area. The body is gray brown with light undulations on the sides and the belly. The bottom of this one is reddish. The tail is black broadside of light. The lower parts are blanchâtres. The legs are gray dark.
