Asexuality

The asexuality is the state of a person ( asexual ) who does not feel the need to engage in a Sexual relationship with another person.

The asexuality is different:

  • of the Celibacy, which it is about a conscious choice on behalf of a person not wanting to engage in sexual activities (for reasons religious, philosophical, etc), or of a state imposed on the individual;

  • of the Impotence or the Frigidity, which is a physical or psychological incapacity to have a sexual relationship, whereas the impotent person wishes to be able to have this relation.

Moreover, the asexuality does not imply concept of chastity; many asexual lives in couple and has children, and it is without speaking about all those which practice the masturbation. In the first case, it is often about an arrangement in the couple, the asexual person arriving at this compromise with its spouse, by love generally.
To the second case, the search of personal pleasure is seconded from any sexual connotation, the asexual person does not think making love with somebody, it seeks only the gratification associated with the Masturbation.

The types of asexual orientations are extremely variable, and one can thus speak about anybody hétéro-asexual, homo-asexual or Bi-asexual, without counting those which do not feel any attraction of any kind towards a kind. These attractions are of course of platonic type in the other cases, and it is even possible that one (E) asexual (it) finds a person pleasant from a point of view Esthétique, just as one can find joke a work of art, Peinture, Musique, Romance.
If one represents the sexual tendencies in placed on a diagram in two dimensions: on a side, in X one with the traditional orientation, is all the homosexual spectrum between and Hétérosexuel, while passing by Bisexuel, and in Y the level of sexual desire for other people. The asexuality is then in all the zone where the desire Y is weak.

The causes of the asexuality are not yet known, one cannot thus decide between yet the share of innate and the asset; however it seems from now on clear that the phenomenon is not limited to the human being, and that certain animals would have also part of their population which is asexual, which would thus tend to prove that the asexuality exists, and that it can also become a valid orientation.
