Asclettin Quarrel
Asclettin (of) Quarrel , is a Norman adventurer first half of the 11th century, wire of a lord of the area of Rouen (the Carreaux, close to Avesnes-in-Bray). In 1016, it decides to follow his/her older brother Osmond, banished of the Norman duchy, in Italy of the South. Over there, it is used as Mercenaire and escapes dead at the time of the defeat of October 1018 or more than 2.000 Norman warriors are killed by the forces Byzantine are in Apulie, of which his/her older brother Osmond and perhaps also his other Giselbert brother.
In 1042, it makes left the 12 Norman baron S which divide Apulie of North, conquered on the Byzantines, receiving in Fief the town of Acerenza. He probably dies before the year 1045 because it is one of its sons which succeeds in June 1045 his/her other older brother, Rainulf Drengot, 1st count of Aversa.
