Asarine lying
the asarine lying ( Asarina procumbens ) is the only representative known in France of the kind Asarina . It is a rather mountain plant, presents in particular in the Pyrenean chain and the Massif Central, whose flowers yellowish white recall by their form those of the muffler.
Other vernacular names: muflier with sheets of asaret, muflier with sheets of asarum, small asaret.
Description
Ecology and habitat
long-lived Plant generally pushing in the interstices of the siliceous rocks. It is met on average mountain starting from 400 meters, in mountain up to 1800 meters. Enough rare, it is present in the Pyrenees, the hills of the Roussillon, the Massif Central and the the Cevennes. It is the subject of a decree of protection in the area Auvergne.

General and vegetative morphology
Hairy herbaceous plant not exceeding 10 to 20 cm in height, subligneuse stock, crawling stems flexuous (bending on several occasions). The Feuille S (3 to 4 cm) are lengthily petiolate. They are opposite, simple, with limb réniforme crenelated and hairy (the edge of the limb is often marked of red).
Floral morphology
Fleur S recluses or into small Racème S (2 or 3 flowers) with the armpit of the sheets. Small very hairy chalice tubulé with five teeth. Corolla of yellowish color white whose parts are marked in the forming center of small purplished features of the scratches. This corolla tubes some ends in two lips, the higher bilobate one, the lower trefoil one with a bulge (the palate) closing the throat. 4 cheesecloth S.
Fruit and seeds
The Fruit S are small capsule S glabrous.
