Asahi (Nishimurayama)

Asahi (朝日町; - machi) is a city District of Nishimurayama in the Préfecture of Yamagata in the north of the island of Honshū to the Japan.
In 2003, the population rose with 18 820 inhabitants and his density was of 44,83 people by km ². Its surface is of 196,73 km ².
The city does not have special relations with the other Asahi of the same prefecture.
Asahi means “morning sun literally”. The city owes its name with the Asahi mountains, which shine with the light of the morning.
History
The city is resulting from the fusion of the villages from Miyajuku, Oya, and Nishi-imogawa.
