Asad ibn Saman

Asad ibn Saman is the son of Saman Khoda, ancestor of the dynasty Samanide.

According to the tradition, Saman named his/her son Asad in the honor of the governor Asad ibn “Abd-Allah Al-Qasri” (723 - 727) who has converts it with the Islam. Asad had 4 wire: Nuh, Ahmad, Yahya, and Elyas. The Caliph named wire of Asad governors of Samarkand, Ferghana, Shash, Ustrushana and Herat for their good and faithful services thus sealing the foundation of this dynasty.
