Asad Ali Khan

Asad Ali Khan (1937 -) is one of rare the Master of the rudra- Vînâ, instrument founder of the Musique hindoustanie. He is the ultimate one representing Gharânâ (school) of Dhrupad Khandarvani , old woman of seven generations of musicians of Court with Jaipur, and Alwar.

He holds his instrument on the left shoulder, contrary to the dagarvani (of the family Dagar), which places it on the left knee.
