Arzon

Arzon is a common department of the Morbihan, in the area Brittany, in France.

The name of the commune in Breton is Arzhon-Rewiz

Its inhabitants name the Arzonais and Arzonaises .

Geography

Located at the end of the Peninsula of Rhuys, it is bordered in north by the Golfe of Morbihan, in the south by the Baie of Quiberon and in the east by the commune of Saint-Gildas-with-Rhuys.

The commune comprises two seaside resorts of very different natures:

  • Port-Navalo ( Porzh Noalou ), dating from the beginning of the 20th century;
  • Crouesty ( Ar It hroesti ), modern seaside resort, under development constant since the Seventies and until today, built around largest port of pleasure of the Breton coast.
  • Several small hamlets portion out also the commune: Monteno, Kerners, Tumiac, Kerjouanno.
