Aryk
Aryk (Turkish: arık ; Russian: арык ; Uzbek: oryq ) is a mini-channel of Irrigation largely used in Central Asia, having an arid climate. The aryks are often established inside the urban areas (p.ex. with Tachkent, capital of Ouzbékistan) in order to irrigate the trees for the summer periods characterized by an quasi-absence of precipitations.
