Its taste for the humanities deserved the favor of the king to him, who entrusted to him the education of François Ier, then duke of Angouleme. Boissy finding in its pupil “a full-faced type with fire”, it made him take as Emblème a salamander in fire, with these words: Nutrisco and extinguo . Not being able to turn the education of the duke of Angouleme towards the science of the government, it directed its provisions on the side of the love of glory, cultivated in him the generosity which characterized the French knighthood, and, while making him like the letters and arts, it laid out it early with the role of patron.
With his advent with the throne, François Ier entrusted to him the load of large Master of his house. Boissy accompanied the king with the conquest by the Milanese, and was with the Bataille of Marignan. He concludes in 1516, with Noyon, a treaty between the king and Charles Quint. Guillaume de Chièvres negotiated for this last, of which he had also been governor. The treaty of Boundary-line which has not been able to finish all the disagreements, the two negotiators were still assembled with Montpellier, hoping to find the means of establishing a solid peace. Boissy and Chièvres were friendly, and sincerely wished ue their Masters were it: they worked without slackening and in good faith for two months with the discussion of the litigious points; they stopped the marriage of Charles with the princess Charlotte (1516 † 1524), girl of François Ist They were going to conclude the negotiation, when the stone and the fever precipitated Boissy with the tomb, in the current from May 1519. The negotiation was then abandoned.
Guillaume Gouffier de Bonnivet, his/her brother, replaced it in the favor of the king.
