Arturo Sandoval

Arturo Sandoval (born the November 6th 1949 with Havana - Cuba) is a Trompettiste and a Pianiste of Jazz.

Whereas it was in Cuba, Sandoval was impassioned by the recordings Bebop of Charlie Parker, Clifford Brown and Dizzy Gillespie (which it will meet in 1977). Gillespie quickly became its mentor and his colleague, since they played together in concert in Europe and with Cuba then in the Orchestre of the United Nations. In 1998, Sandoval acquired the nationality of the United States.

The life of Sandoval is the subject of an American telefilm (2000): " For Coils gold Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story" with Andy Garcia.

Sandoval worked with: Vikki Carr, Shine Enrique, Mike Couzzi, George Noriega, Lee Levin, Tony Concepcion, Julio Hernandez, Rene Toledo, Rita Quintero, Dana Teboe, ED Fixes and the " Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Orchestrated ".
