Artistic Martial arts

The artistic martial arts were born in the Seventies in America. They are composed of artistic Kata and Tricks.

Tricks

The tricks are kicks lifting combining the techniques of kicks of Martial arts as well as movements of the Gymnastique. They are techniques little used in their respective arts because they are not very effective in combat. The tricks are recently practiced as a sport with whole share and are an important part in the forms of kata artistic. They made their first appearances in artistic martial arts in the middle of the years 1990 thanks to the American champion Simon Carmichael who was one of the first to carry out tricks in an artistic kata.

An artistic kata

It is a personal sequence of techniques (feet and fists) coming from various martial arts, the whole choreography on a musical bottom rate/rhythm. A good kata combines flexibility, speed, intensity, dynamism, charisma and determination.

Other traditions

In Indonesia, the pencak and the Silat, martial arts traditional, have a form danced in addition to the elements common to all Asian martial arts which are the basic techniques, the sequences of techniques in an imaginary combat and the combat itself. This danced form is accompanied by a music played with traditional instruments.
