Artiodactyla
The Taxon of the artiodactyles ( Artiodactyla ), of the “even” Greek artios and typists “finger”, is, according to traditional classification, a order of Mammifère S Placentaire S. It near relationship between the Hippopotamidé S and the Cétacé S seems proven, on the basis of genetic analysis, which means that this taxon is Paraphylétique. The meeting of artiodactyles with the Cetacea forms the taxon Cétartiodactyles, which is, him, Monophylétique.
The traditional definition presents them like Ongulé S having an even number of fingers to the feet, and whose weight is supported with equal share by the third and fourth fingers, contrary to the Périssodactyle S, which has an odd number of fingers, and at which the weight is supported primarily by the third finger.
Oldest Fossile S known of the taxon goes back to 50 to 60 million years. The group currently has a world distribution, except the Australia and the New Zealand, at least before the recent importation of pets. It includes/understands approximately 300 species, of which two thirds of Ruminant S.
