Arthur Capell
Arthur Capell (towards 1608 - 1649), 1st Baron Capell, belonged to the Long Parliament in 1640, and embraced the cause of Charles Ier after him to have been one opposite moment.
It formed in the principality of Wales and in the close provinces a small army which gave some embarrassments to the troops of the Parliament, and defended against them the town of Colchester. Constrained to go, it had the head sliced in 1649.
His/her son, also named Arthur, was created Count d' Essex by Charles II in 1661, and Lord lieutenant d' Irlande in 1672.
