Artaban Ier succeeds his/her uncle Tiridate or his father Arsace on the throne of Parthie and reigns of -217 or -211 with -190.
It had to face severe defeats vis-a-vis the sovereign séleucide Antiochos III, but it succeeds in negotiating peace and saving its throne, in particular thanks to a rebellion in a province of the empire séleucide.
His/her cousin Phriapetius succeeds to him.
