Art schools Mons

Art schools Mons ( BAM ) is the new denomination of the Musée of the Art schools of Mons following the finalization of its restoration since the beginning 2007. The history of this museum began in 1885 when Mons of the name of Henri Glépin bequeathed his fortune to the town of Mons by requiring in exchange that this one masonry a museum to accommodate its various collections of Porcelaine S and Faïence S. the building was completed in 1913.

After several years of honest services, the museum needed to be renovated to accommodate the current exposures requiring a more modern infrastructure. This restoration finished in 2007. Since its reopening and until August 19th, 2007, the BAM accommodated an exposure entitled the Surréalisme in Belgium (1924-2000) .
