Arsene Soreil

Arsene Soreil , born with Rendeux the February 5th 1893 and deceased with Years the March 5th 1989, is a writer and a Walloon militant.

After humanities with Bore-hole then with Taintignies, it starts studies of letters to UCL then surprised by the war and is mobilized. IT enters the Administration but continues its studies and will become French professor with Bouillon, Tirlemont then Malmedy. He teaches then esthetics with the Université of Liege where he will be also in charge of the course of Philosophie of art until his admission with the éméritat in 1953.

Writer it published in particular Dure Ardenne (1933), which will be published several times by the Walloon Earth. In 1966 for the unknown of Pitti , it receives the price of the royal Académie of language and French literature of Belgium and also the Price Georges Garnir. It published also tests like art to write (1946), Feux of Alder, Lieux of dream, literary Essai on the Vicomte of Bonald (1942), Edmond Glesener . Antirexiste of the first hour, it collaborated in the Walloon Earth of 1934 to 1940, in full communion of thought with Élie Baussart. He also collaborates, after 1945, with the weekly magazine of the UDB, new Forces with the newspaper the Evening where he publishes a monthly criticism and is present at the Walloon National congress of 1945.
