A arsenal is a place where the schedule of conditions for the design is centralized, manufacture (nowadays makes rather maintenance of it), the storage and distribution of Arme S of Guerre. Generally the arsenals are directly under the control of the forces Armée S with the countries and been dependant on the barracks. They exists three about it which are in services in France: Toulon, Brest and Cherbourg. Oldest is that of Rochefort, in Charente Maritime, built in 1666 by Colbert on odre of Louis XIV. Its activity will perdura until 1927. One of its most known constructions is the Fort Boyard, off the Island of Aix.
