Arriloba

The arriloba is a Cépage of white grape France.

Origin and geographical distribution

The arriloba is obtaining the Basque Pierre Marcel Durquety of the National institute of the agronomic research of Bordeaux. The genetic cause is checked and it is a crossing of the type of vines Raffiat de Moncade X Sauvignon Blanc realized in 1954 and marketed as from 1960. The type of vine is recommended or authorized in the majority of the French wine departments. In France it covers 15 hectares (1998).

It is cultivated a little in Australia.

Pierre Marcel Durquety, In charge of research, carried out many intraspecific crossings between 1950 and 1980 whose seven varieties are registered officially with the catalog of the type of vines, including four reds (Arinarnoa, Egiodola, Ekigaïna, Semebat) and three white (Arriloba, Liliorila, Perdea).
