Arriflex 35 BL
The Arriflex 35 BL is a model of Caméra 35 mm of the German mark Arri. Popular in the the Seventies and 80, Arri 35 BL is, following the example Éclair 16 for the 16 mm, the first camera 35 mm sound-proof and portable.
Arri 35 BL was declined under several models (35 BL-I, 35 BL-II, 35 BL-III, 35 BL-IV), and was used for the first time at the time of the Olympic Games of 1972 with Munich. In France, it was the camera of predilection of the realizer Claude Lelouch, accustomed to long movements with the shoulder.
Arri 35 BL allows rates up to 100 images/second, which requires a mechanism of drive with four claw S. to avoid the noise generated by the vibrations of the mechanism on the body, these two parts are independent. The constitutional body then a “natural Blimp”, while the mechanism rests on a damping support, a “ silent block ”.
