Arrangement of Wassenaar

The Arrangement of Wassenaar (Arrangement of Wassenaar on the control of exports of conventional weapons and goods and technologies with double use) is a treated of control of the Armement S signed by 40 nations.

It was established the May 12th 1996 in the Dutchwoman city of Wassenaar and succeeds the Coordinating Committee one Multilateral Export Controls.

The members are: South Africa, Germany, Argentinian, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, South Korea, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, the United States, Federation of Russia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway , Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Swiss, Turkey and Ukraine.

The principal document is a document of instructions: " Purposes, Guidelines and Procedures, including the Initial Elements" (), which describes the goals, procedures, participations and administrations of this treaty.

A secretariat is installed with Vienna, where meetings proceed, usually once per annum in December.

Under its mode, the only obligation is to notify the transfers of weapons. The decision to transfer cost only to the salesman.
