Arrancars

This article present of the characters of the Manga and Animates Bleach . The more general article is " Characters of Bleach ".

The arrancars are hollows which acquired capacities of shinigami thanks to Aizen and in Hōgyoku. Their name is drawn from the Spanish arrancar meaning " arracher" , in reference to their mask. They have a zanpakuto and a power higher than the not-graded shinigami . The activation of their shikai partly reveals their original appearance of hollow , thus releasing their capacities. The ten better arrancars are called espada (" épée" in Spanish) and are classified according to their power. They have their number tattooed some share on their body (what can make think of tattooings phantom Brigade in Hunter × Hunter or of the stopwatch numbers of Black Cat) and their power exceeds that of the others by far arrancars . The arrancars having belonged to the espada and having been banished carry the numbers beyond 100, they are the privaron espadas . The arrancars not forming part of L espada are classified according to their order of creation. To note: the arrancars are very related to Spanish: their number is declined in Spanish, their zanpakuto bears too names Spanish and certain their attacks.
