Arrakis

Arrakis is the name which Impérium gives to the Planet Dune in the Romance and the romantic cycle homonymous of Frank Herbert.

Arrakis teaches the attitude of the knife: to cross what is incomplete and to say “it Now is complete because that is completed here”

This planet is only and single source in the universe of the Épice.

Arrakis is a crushed desert planet of heat where survive of the natives, the Fremen, which call it Dune. It is also populated of towards giants who attack all that ventures on sands of planet.

The planet was a stronghold of the Maison Harkonnen before she is entrusted by the Empereur to the Maison Atréides to the beginning of the Romance , thus creating the bases of the confrontation between these two big families of the Empire.

After the victory of Muad' Dib in 10.193, Arrakis became the imperial planet. At the dawn of the 103e century, the terraformation of Arrakis starts to bear its fruits: the grass pushes, which involves the disappearance of the towards until the moment when Leto Atréides II, wire of Muad' Dib, starts to live in symbiosis with Truites of sands. This symbiosis will lead to the metamorphosis of the new Emperor in Worm of Sands with human face, the last alive Ver of Sands on the Rakis news. The death of the Emperor-God will involve the Grande Dispersion, but also the return of the desert: Rakis finds the lifestyle of old Arrakis, and the same water habits.

Rakis will be destroyed following a massive attack of the Honorées Matriarches, but a worm survived…
