Arnaud of Holy Marie

Arnaud of Holy Marie (born the March 24th 1974 with Beauvais) is a French artist. The painting of Holy Marie - a figurative painting - is a research today on the figuration. Its Paintings and drawings with ink are a research on the image conveyed by the media. Biography

After a baccalaureat with the college Jeanne-Hatchet, Arnaud of Holy Marie attends in 1994 the faculty of Lille 3. Autodidact in technique, it passes by various techniques. The watercolour first of all, then come then oil. Then in search of detachment of oneself, it approaches the drawing with the ballpoint pen. Work on various countries leads it to realize in 2006 the African continent in a whole of 147 A4 sheets. In same time, it creates with a new medium, the printing ink. In February 2007, it exposes in its birthplace, the Massacre of the innocent, together 288 panels of 20cm X 20cm, precisely realized with the printing ink.
