Arnaud Odon of Armagnac

Arnaud Odon , died in 1256, was Viscount of Lomagne, then count d' Armagnac and of Fézensac of 1243 with 1245 per marriage, then regent of these two counties of 1245 with 1255. It was wire of Odon IV, Viscount of Lomagne, and of of Pens.

He married in first weddings his cousin Mascarose I {{Re}} of Lomagne († 1245), countess of Armagnac and Lomagne, and had:

  • Mascarose II († 1256), countess of Armagnac and Fésensac, married in 1255 with Eskivat de Chabanais.

His/her brother-in-law Bernard V died in 1243, and couples it succeeded to him, but a cousin, Géraud, Viscount of Fézensaguet, estimated that the counties could not transmetre by the women and the possession disputed some to them. A war followed between Géraud, constant by Raymond VII of Toulouse, then by Alphonse of Poitiers and Arnaud Odon and Mascarose, supported by the king Henri III of England and which will be solved only by death without child of Mascarose II.

Mascarose died a little later but Arnaud Odon preserved the counties, entrusting them to his daughter only at the time of his marriage.

He remaria in 1246 with another cousin, Escarone de Lomagne, girl of Géraud de Lomagne, lord of Blaziert, and had:

  • Vezian II († 1280), Viscount of Lomagne
  • Philippa, viscountess de Lomagne, married with Hélie VII († 1311), count de Périgord

Again widowed, it ramarie then with Marie, girl of Pierre de Sauve.
