Army of the Serb Republic of Bosnia
The armed with the Serb Republic of Bosnia , into Serb ВојскаРепубликеСрпске ( Vojska Republike Srpske ) was a dependence of the Armée with Yugoslavia (VJ) created on May 12th, 1992 under the direction of the general Ratko Mladić by a " Serb assembly of Bosnie" at the instigation of Slobodan Milošević.
It consisted of Serb recruits of Bosnia-Herzégovine, of the officers of Armée popular Yugoslavian (JNA) originating in Bosnia-Herzégovine, equipped with the military material illegally withdrawn from the Territorial Defense (TO) of Bosnia-Herzégovine like to JNA, in particular withdrawn of Croatia following the plan Vance of January 1992.
Its raison d'être was to be used as folding screen to the Communist leaders of Belgrade to carry out an extermination and war of conquest in Bosnia-Herzégovine via their accomplices Radovan Karadžić, open political director, and Ratko Mladić, war leader: several of its generals were condemned by TPIY, in particular for the crimes committed in the area of Prijedor (extermination and concentration camps), for the bombardment of Sarajevo of April 1992 at September 1995 (12 500 dead) and Srebrenica in July 1995 (8 000 dead) massacres it. As showed it inter alia the documents which were used for the inculpation of the general Momčilo Perišić by TPIY, it is the Staff management of the Armée with Yugoslavia (VJ) which paid the pays of the " VRS" , and made the decisions of assignment and advance with regard to them.
The VRS officially disappeared pursuant to the Accords from Dayton and Paris signed in December 1995 but the VJ did not cease paying the balances of the " anciens" officers of the " VRS" that at the summer 2001, following the international pressures on the President of the " Federal republic of Yugoslavia " , Vojislav Koštunica.
