Armenians
The Armenian are regarded as a branch of the vast branch Indo-European. Certain specialists, perhaps wrongly , attach the Armenians to the Hittites, even if Hérodote seems to express a proximity with the Greek . History

Thus, in 1080, the kingdom of the Petite Arménie was created. It became the new center of Armenian nationalism. The Armenians developed social relations, cultural, military and religious with the cross . The kingdom of Small Arménie crumbled in 1375 because of the invasions mameloukes.
At the 16th century, Arménie Eastern was conquered by Persians Safavides, whereas Arménie Western fell under the Othoman supervision. Around 1820, the territory corresponding to the modern republic was built-in the Russian Empire, Arménie Western making, it, still part of the Ottoman Empire. During these tumultuous periods, the Armenians could protect their identity thanks to the Church.

The Armenians had been present in the Eastern area of Anatolia for 4000 years. Hundreds of years ago, small communities existed out of the Arménie. The Armenians of the diaspora speak the Western dialect about the Armenian language, without the Eastern dialect their being incomprehensible. The Eastern Armenian is used rather in Iran, Russia and in other countries of old the USSR like the Georgia and the Ukraine. In certain communities where Armenians coming from various countries live together, there is a tendency of the various groups to intermingle.
