Armenian Airlines
Armenian Airlines was the largest airline company of the Arménie until its bankruptcy in 2004 . Its fleet was primarily made up of Iliouchine It-86 and Airbus A310. Its Code AITA was R3 and its Code ICAO RME.
The company was created shortly after the independence of Arménie in 1991 and was the only Armenian company until in 2001. From this date, the companies Armavia and Armenian International Airways launched their commercial flights and started to compete with Armenian Airlines. Until 1997, the figures of the company were very positive but they started to fall in 1998. Armenian Airlines went bankrupt in 2004 and it is the company Armavia which took the succession of its flights.
Armenian Airlines operated a Airbus A310 as well as apparatuses of Russian manufacture.
