Armen Lubin

Armen Lubin (1903 - 1974), writer and French poet of Armenian origin. Regent of the College of' Pataphysique.

Born with Istambul in 1903. Of Armenian origin, he learns French during his studies. He flees the Turkey to escape persecutions and settles in Paris in 1923, where he becomes photographic retoucher. He publishes novels in Armenian under the name of Chahnour Kerestedjian. About 1936 it is reached of a tuberculosis of the bones which will lead it hospital in hospital. He will live in the suffering until his death in 1974. In 1945, it started to write in French. It transcends the pain by a poetic to tend, often merry and bitter creation, and with the listening of the weakest beings. He died on August 20th, 1974, at the hospital of Saint-Raphaël.
