Armando Guebuza

Armando Emílio Guebuza (January 20th 1943, Murrupula, province of Nampula -) is a Mozambican politician member of the Frelimo, and president in exercise of the Republic of Mozambique since the February 2nd 2005.

Armando Guebuza integrates Frelimo in 1963. It leaves Mozambique in 1964 to take part in the guerilla.

Guebuza is old a Prime Minister of Joaquim Chissano. Fortunate business man, Minister of Interior Department. He is elected general secretary of Frelimo in 2002.

After its election the 1 {{er}} and December 2nd 2004 with 64% of the voices, the Renamo of the opponent and candidate Alfonso Dlakhama, like many small parts, denounce, as for the preceding elections of 1994 and 1999, of the multiple and heavy frauds. The legislative behaviors at the same time are the subject of same criticisms. ReNaMo requires new right and impartial elections. The international observers sent to control the good progress of the poll were seen prohibiting by the National electoral commission the access to the phases of examination. Nevertheless according to the same observers, the massive frauds are not sufficient to modify the result of the poll.
