Armande Altaï

Armande Altaï (Kumpal Kabartay Altai/Magini) was born with Alep in Syria in 1944.

After a passage to beautiful arts, it returns to the academy to Marseilles where it learns how to sing. Later it becomes professor of song. It is in particular the professor of songs of the first emission of the Star Academy .

  • 1986: Vocal guest on “Caribbean Blue” of Etienne Daho.
  • William Sheller Armande caste for her opera “empire of Toholl”, remained with the state of project.

  • 1983: “Night blazing”, 3rd album (Mercury), produced by Martin Hannett (cf Joy Division, New Order, Red Orchestra…), with the musicians of Howard Devoto, Magazine, Face
  • 1982: Round “Jacques, Joseph, Victor Sleeps” with Jacques Higelin (Cirque of Winter and province). 45t “Unformulated”, taken again in duet with Higelin.
  • Creation of the spectacle “Desmôdus Minor” with the jazz festival of Angouleme, with the Pandemonium (Humair, Texier, Dressmaker, Jeaneau, Chautemps…)
  • “Unformulated” Concert with the jazz festival of Antibes.
  • 1981: “Unformulated”, 2nd album (Mercury), with the keyboard Andy Clark (cf “Ashes To Ashes”) and the guitarist Henry Padovani (cf The Organizes and Electric Chairs)

  • Creation of the contemporary opera “three languages”, of Claude Prey.

  • Spectacle homage to Cocteau “Mirror, my beautiful mirror”, of Bernard Calais.
  • Spectacle “Da Capo”, put in scene by Dougnac, created in Avignon, on a music of François-Bernard Mache.
  • Spectacle “Chicago, Crimes and Crash landing”, put in scene by Dougnac, with the T.E.P.
  • “the meteor of Durrenmatt”, with Claude Dauphin, with the Theater of the Commune.
  • 1977: “Rhino Operation”, experiment free jazz. Various roles and composition of the music - setting in scene Georges Wilson.
  • 1976: “Othello”, of Shakespeare, created in Avignon, in the main courtyard.
  • 1975: Role in the film “Leopold, the liked good”, of Georges Wilson.
