Armand Marrast
Armand Marrast is a publicity agent and French politician born with Saint-Gaudens the June 5th 1801 and died in Paris the April 12th 1852. It militated in the liberal opposition under the Restauration, took share with the revolution of 1830 and took part in the republican movement under the Monarchie of July.
Biography
Armand Marrast begins in teaching like repeater with the college from Orthez, then professor of rhetoric to Saint-Sever. In July 1848, it chairs the Parliament. It is one of the principal writers of the Constitution of 1848, is the rapporteur and promulgates it on November 12th, 1848 on the Place of the Harmony in Paris.
It withdraws political life after its failure with the elections with the legislative Assemblée in 1849.
He dies the April 12th 1852, “in the misery and forgotten of all”.
