Armand Husson
Jean Christophe Armand Husson , born with Claye-Souilly the September 8th 1809 and died in Paris the December 6th 1874, is a French economist and administrator.
Entered as clerk with the prefecture of the the Seine in 1828, he is then directing head clerk then of the departmental and communal administration. In 1845, it carries out in company of the architect Victor Baltard a mission of study on the government contracts in Germany, Belgium and with the Netherlands. In 1859, it is named director of the Public assistance, where it introduces major reforms and founds the newspaper medical Statistique hospitals of Paris . In 1871, it is named general secretary of the prefecture of the Seine and director of finances of the town of Paris.
Its important work in statistical economy is worth to him to be elected member of the Academy of Science morals and political, initially with the political section in 1863, then with the moral section and sociology in 1866. He is also elected member of the Académie of medicine in 1863.
