Armand Dupuis

Armand Dupuis is a French politician, born in Ageux (Oise) on August 16th, 1891.

Wire of a local politician, Charles Dupuis (general adviser of Oise), Armand Dupuis settles with Nointel in 1919, after his demobilization with the Cross of the Combatant and the Military decoration, where he follows the occupation of trader in grain, then of miller.

In 1925, it is elected to advise of district and mayor of Nointel. In 1928, it enters to the General advice of Oise. It will preserve these the last two mandates until 1945.

Candidate " indépendant" to legislative from 1928 in the district (“district”) of Clermont, he does not manage to beat moderate deputy leaving Désiré Bottle.

In 1932, it joined the radical party and, under this label, is elected Député of Oise, and is re-elected in 1936, under the hégide of the Popular front.

Within the Room, it developed an intense activity on the agricultural questions, and in particular the question of corn and beet, defendant of the agrarian and protectionist positions, in connection with waitings of its electorate.

It took part thus by the means of a parliamentary report, with the installation of the professional National office of corn.

In 1940, it did not take part in the vote which gave the full powerss to the Maréchal Pétain.

Although remained mayor of Nointel during the Occupation, it was not suspected of collaboration and, in 1944, was even appointed at the High Court of justice by the Consultative Assembly.

In 1945, it was not represented with the cantonal elections and took the radical chief candidate, which did not have any elected official, to the legislative elections.

Elected official Sacy-the-Small mayor of in 1947, it developed his political activity in the coordination of the mayors of the department: founder and general secretary of the Union of the mayors of Oise in 1947, president of the trade union of the communes of Oise in 1952 and chair Union of the mayors of Oise in 1963.

In parallel, it founded the mutual insurance company of the communal employees of Oise, in 1959.

Professionally, it continued to play a big role in the industry of corn, since it was during ten years, as from 1947, president of the national union of the average flour-milling.

He dies on October 30th, 1993, with old 102 years, Paris.
